Nicasio Woodworks' is a small Marin County workshop that is focused on the creation of artistic, yet functional items from highly figured wood. The raw wood is carved to create pieces that can be proudly displayed, but are durable enough to be used regularly. The intention is that our items should be used, enjoyed and someday, perhaps, passed down to the next generation. In this way, the stories within the wood become complemented with the accruing stories of the families using them.
We have a small showroom in Nicasio. Just call or email to come by or to arrange a personalized virtual tour. There are also two California galleries that carry our products: Terrestra (now in Sacramento) and Dovetail Collections in Healdsburg. We do participate in a limited number of Bay area shows. This December we are several places. We have two pieces in the "Artistry in Wood" show at the Museum of Sonoma County through early January. Additionally, a broad range of our pieces are included in the exhibition at Toby's Art Gallery for the month of December. Finally, we will be attending two one day events: the farmer's market in Healdsburg on Saturday December 2 and the German Holiday Market on December 9 in Mountain View. You can track what we are doing on our our Instagram page at: https://www.instagram.com/nicasiowoodworks/ to see some of our latest projects.
